R&D Waste Services was founded in 1959 by Dwayne Schaffrick with a goal of providing reliable, safe and affordable waste management services to central Alberta. A community business grown organically by word of mouth, services expanded to include bin provision and removal in 2004. With ownership being transferred in 2020 to Shane Nordin, the business continues to be locally owned and operated out of Hay Lakes, AB, currently servicing customers within Camrose County, Leduc County, Strathcona County, Beaver County, and the County of Wetaskiwin. Our current services include providing scheduled or on-call emptying of 3 and 6 yard non-hazardous solid waste bins, providing and disposing of industrial roll-off bins based on a customer’s required schedule.

Our dedicated team’s top priority is putting our customer’s needs first, and we pride ourselves on being flexible and available when needed. We are committed to creating and maintaining customer relationships and are able to provide custom and scalable services for farm, residential, commercial and industrial customers.
